In January 2019, the Young Australian Broadway Chorus will mount an epic production of the world’s most popular musical Les Misérables. Following its acclaimed youth production of Wicked in 2018, Les Misérables will be presented with a cast and orchestra of young people, and play at the National Theatre for 10 performances.
This is an amazing opportunity for talented young performers to experience the intensive rehearsal process that goes into creating a major musical production, as well as the thrill of performing an iconic work like Les Misérables. The rehearsals and performances will take place in the school holidays in December 2018/January 2019.
In January 2018, YABC produced a youth production of Wicked which received significant acclaim:
‘Triumphant all-youth version of Wicked’ Herald Sun
‘The standing ovation at the end said it all’ Stage Whispers
‘...a must-see production’ Classic Melbourne
‘This is a spectacular show’ Australian Arts Review
‘Worthy of 5 stars! BRILLIANT, ENTERTAINING, THOROUGHLY ENJOYABLE!’ Leigh Drew, 97.7fm
