Theatre in Education Performers and Actors Required (Expired)

We are looking for professional and committed entertainers, performers and actors for our Theatre In Education Shows to start immediately performing across Australia. This position is ideal for those performers who are seeking/looking to find part-time and/or casual work with a Leading Theatre and Film Production company and keen to be part of our live shows performing across Australia.

If you are looking and searching for full time or part-time or casual work with a Leading Theatre and Film Production company, then you may be the right person we are seeking. We have over 38 shows that perform yearly across Australia. The roles and positions listed are only a few roles listed and successful applicants may be offered numerous roles within the company shows. Please note, that while you may select a specific role you are interested in you may be required to work on other roles and shows where required if you are successful and employed by the company.

This is an immediate start with the successful person ready to start within 5-7 days.

Iconic Performances is a production company that has a variety of live interactive Theatre Based shows that are performed at Live Events, Theatres, and Schools Across Australia.

The successful applicants will be performing to audiences aged from 5 - 60+ years old. 

If successful for the position you will be Touring Across Australia for 2017.

All applicants must have ...

  • A great command of the English language.
  • Experience performing and/or working with children.
  • Must be able to work in a team environment, have experience in reading scripts, stage blocking and behave in a professional manner towards the customers, the audience, the director of shows and Company Management.
  • Should have experience in street or live theatre.

This is paid work so we are looking for bright, vibrant, enthusiastic and energetic applicants to fill these roles.

We have full-time, part-time and casual positions available and are looking for performers who are ready to make some money and entertain our customers.

This position will require you to travel interstate to perform. All travel expenses, accommodation and Meal Allowances (where applicable) are paid for and provided by the company.

Rehearsal / production dates

Immediate start performing all year round. 

Job compensation

$Estimated $600-$1500 p/wk + Travel expenses

Irish Convict and Gold Rush Miner

Must be funny, a larikin and be able to do an Irish accent. The Irish Convict is a larikan, although he has been transported to Australia for being a member of the Irish Political party, he still acts silly and is always looking for that kid-like trouble.

For this role, you must be able to do a proper Irish Accent.
Singing, dancing or playing a guitar or ukulele or small instrument is an advantage for this role.

  • Ethnicity: White / Caucasian

Must be a happy person who is able to make jokes on the spot and relate well to children. An Irish and/or English Accent is required.

A cobbler in civilian life, (boot maker) - Alex is a volunteer & proud of it.
Tends to treat this as an adventure and would all be over in a few months.
