Feast, Adelaide’s annual Queer Arts and Culture Festival has officially opened registrations for artists and community events to participate in Feast 2018. This year’s Festival will be bursting at the seams with exciting, colourful and socially challenging queer arts and culture.
The Festival continues to celebrate diversity, inclusivity and pride for the South Australian and Australian LGBTIQ communities.
Feast focuses on programming innovative arts performances and events by LGBTIQ artists from South Australia, nationally and internationally. The Festival is the perfect platform for emerging, mid-career and established artists to showcase their talents and is unique in its positioning on the South Australian event calendar with many talented artists debuting new works at the Festival.
Once again, the Festival will utilise the open access registration model promoting all the events in Feast as well as producing the iconic Opening Night Party and Picnic In the Park which bookend the Festival.
“In 2017 Feast’s open access registered event model was highly successful and will be the model for this year. A stunning array of artists have already contacted us keen to participate in Feast 2018.” said Feast Producer Margie Fischer.
“Our focus on supporting artists and culture makers includes holding marketing and publicity information sessions to ensure maximum exposure for participant’s events. Feast is programmed to ensure events are not competing for similar audiences. Registered artists receive 100% of their box office takings.” said Feast General Manager, Helen Sheldon.
The Festival program of arts and culture includes: cabaret, comedy, theatre, visual art, music, dance, film, literary events, forums, sport and community events. Anyone with a work in progress, show or event they want to have showcased during Feast should get in touch before registrations close.
Registrations close Friday 18th May 2018.
Feast Festival runs from the 10th – 25th November 2018
