Synopsis: In John Doyle's play Vere (Faith), the battle of science versus religion is fought out in the crumbling mind of a physics professor (Vere) as he succumbs to Alzheimers. The stars have certainly aligned as part of the action involves Vere planning to travel to CERN to hunt for the fundamental particle, the Higgs boson. While the vicar challenges scientific beliefs. The play is both uproariously funny and deeply poignant.

Due to the nature of the play, with scripted doubling up of roles it is seen as an ensemble piece. The character you are cast in the 1st half will be a different type of character in the second half. So the Director will be looking for range. There is not a ‘wasted’ character in this thought provoking piece of Australian Theatre. Everyone gets a LOT of stage time!
