Loop Workshop

Arts Centre Melbourne

About the Course

Be part of a workshop to make a dance work especially for kids, inspired by kids! Created by Melbourne artist Nat Cursio, Loop gives children the space to express and explore movement and music.

In a series of workshops run by professional dancers, children aged 2-8 years are guided to use their imaginative powers through dance. Inspired by the children’s dancing, Nat and her team will choreograph an intricate and idiosyncratic dance that incorporates these intuitive movements as its building blocks.

Children can take part in the workshops and come back later in the week to see their moves performed by the dancers in a quirky, joyful and sensory performance.

Arts Centre Melbourne is committed to nurturing Melbourne artists in the creation of new, innovative work for family audiences.

During the September holidays, local artist Nat Cursio will create, develop and present her new work Loop. Nat creates choreographies, curated programs and artistic development platforms under the umbrella Nat Cursio Co. Her choreographic work has been presented across Asia and Australia.
