Hi, we're looking for a Director.
We'd like a female one since it was written in part as a reaction to the 2016 female deficit in the Abbey Theatre's (formed by mostly women) celebration of 1916.
That said we want a director that gets the play more than someone who is female.
Everyone involved is pretty chilled and collaberative, we're looking for someone who enjoys the absurdist and willing to engage in creating madness on stage.
Waiting for Manot - an absurdity in two acts.
Maebh and Grainne wait in a Bar for the mysterious Manot.
But which one will he choose?
Manot is a fast paced two hander in a dark absurdist mode with a sting in the tail.. think Caryl Churchill meets Ab Fab.
It's all ready to go for Production with all major costs covered, a Production Team and Two Actors.
We've got a Set Design with Designer/Builder and Lighting.
We've got a Sound/Music Designer who is working on sound and music.
We've started development but would love to get a experience director on board.
Sadly unpaid though as Dreamers moon we are doing Shakespean 10ths with the massive profits expected from our Fringe run.
Possible may even add up to a post production beer. Vino if we're really successful ;)
