When Yugambeh freelance writer and curator Maddee Clark wrote a profile piece on trans artists for a major magazine everything worked well, until they discussed what images should accompany the article.

‘I was working on a story about trans Aboriginal art and had issues with the magazine around getting images that they could publish. They were saying, “all the artists that you’re profiling have good images, but do you have any where they’re not naked”?
