Matilda the Musical scoops Green Room Awards

The popular musical, based on the Roald Dahl novel and featuring music and lyrics by Tim Minchin, won eight of the twelve categories it was nominated in.

Hosted by Green Room Awards Association patron, Julia Zemiro, Melbourne’s professional performing arts awards – the Green Room Awards – were presented at the Comedy Theatre on Monday night.

The peer-judged awards honour the best work presented on Melbourne stages in 2016 across seven major categories, including Dance, Opera and Music Theatre.
