The award-winning composer and Bangarra artist in residence has died suddenly aged 55.

Bangarra has requested that no image of David Page be published out of respect for cultural sensitivities.

David Page, the resident composer and Music Director at Bangarra Dance Theatre, has died. The older brother of Bangarra’s Artistic Director Stephen Page, David Page was aged just 55.

The sad news was announced earlier today via the company’s Facebook page.

Richard Watts is ArtsHub's National Performing Arts Editor; he also presents the weekly program SmartArts on Three Triple R FM, and serves as the Chair of La Mama Theatre's volunteer Committee of Management.
