SPARROW-FOLK Award winning winning musical comedy duo Sparrow-Folk are bringing sexy back to suburban homes across the country. Celebrating what others wouldn't dare to reveal in their "over-sharing" style of comedy, the deceivingly sweet pair are jaw-droppingly naughty.Touted as the DNA-tested love child of the Doug Anthony Allstars and Madonna, Sparrow-Folk broke out on the scene in 2013 when they won the ABC TV's Exhumed competition (ACT). They then crashed into global stardom with their viral public breastfeeding anthem Ruin Your Day, reaching 1 million views worldwide.MY NIGHTINGALE

"Absolutely exquisite... modern soul-funk, a bit folky, a bit celtic, with phenomenal voices, harmonies and dry humour!" – Sunshine Coast Ukelele Festival

Featuring the incredibly versatile vocals and songs of award-winning songstress Elly Hoyt, playing guitar and ukelele; My Nightingale explore the natural world and the themes that run through life's experience. Elly is joined by Rebecca Karlen on violin , Beck Flatt on drums and Helen Svoboda on double bass. With diverse musical backgrounds and stories, these talented musicians and singers bring to the stage soul soothing tunes with luscious vocal harmonies, layers of beautiful strings and groovy folk rhythms.

“Their star is definitely on the rise, “ said Joc Curran, Producer of the Queensland Music Festival, after their intimate performance in the QMF’s ‘Immersion’ series in July. “In full flight acoustic mode, the ladies showcased their musical technique along with humour, multi-instrumental changes and story-telling… It was delightful, uplighting, and a stunning night for all involved”.
