Jana Ganrjana Dhol Pathak was formed here in Melbourne by Satish Gaikwad in Jan 2016 when they found a surprisingly common thread between them; The Dhol-Tasha (vibrant Indian drums). Through the drum beats they bring positive energy and broad smiles. The group has performed all over Melbourne.
The Newport Gypsy Djangos play the jazz standards with a strong ‘gypsy swing’ feel. The group has been playing in the Newport area for the last 5 years, and are regular favourites at the annual Newport Folk Festival. Guaranteed to put a smile on your face, and more than likely will get you up dancing. www.nffc.org.au.
The Mudcakes - We’ll let their reviews do the talking for The Mudcakes: "Kindie-rock at its best." - Herald Sun. "Roots-rock aimed at discerning kids (and their equally discerning parents)" - The Age. "Great tunes, superior musicianship and a rollicking good band!" - ABC Radio 'Babytalk'. Voted top 10 children’s CD by the New York Post
