ArtPlay Artist Learning Session: Children's Art from the Earth

ArtPlay encourages professional learning and the sharing of knowledge and ideas through Artist Learning Sessions. Join us for our first workshop this year, presented as part of the National Sustainable Living Festival.

Children's art from the earth

The earth offers a rich source of artistic inspiration for young children, both as subject matter and as an art material.

In this hands on workshop for artists, teachers and parents, artists Eleanor Butt and Ann Ferguson will show you how to introduce preschool aged children to the creative possibilities of soil and clay.

By exploring these materials in their art, children come to understand place, form and their own relationship to the earth.

Please note that this professional development workshop is only for adults.

Cost: $16

Date: 20 February, 2018, 5.30 - 7.30 pm
