What's On

La Mama

12A

A black comedy thriller about how sometimes murder is the easiest solution to life’s little problems. Three interlocking stories about how betrayal, violence, superstition and death can be pretty funny.

Why do we still call our apartments 12A instead of 13, and why are there still no 13th floors in our buildings? Perhaps there is something to this superstition as a single apartment (Number 12A) plays host to three different but strangely connected crimes. Welcome to a world where death is your landlord and dread is your neighbour.

This Pinter-esque, funny, unsettling play examines trust, luck and the lengths people will go to in order to avoid confrontation.

Like a novel constructed from short stories… wonderfully, writer James Hazelden has unfolded the story in new dimensions hinting at greater mysteries
