Shakespeare: Master of Meter

"Whisper music to my weary soul." William Shakespeare.

Music and more: Bask in Shakespearean inspiration with Six Selected Song Settings spanning four centuries, the evocative Suite for Violin and Piano from Much Ado About Nothing by Erich Wolfgang Korngold and a narrated musical compilation of Romeo and Juliet followed by a viewing of artworks in connection with the QLD Ballet's production of A Midsummer Night's Dream as wine & cheese are enjoyed in the precinct gallery.

This is the first programme in Cook & Co.'s chamber music fusion series, CONNECTIONS, an enchanting trilogy curated by Artistic Director, Janis Cook. Music and drama: The inherent narrative of the cello suites of JS Bach runs parallel  to the life experiences of an aspiring musician who has just returned from study in Europe.

"Without music, life would be a blank to me." Jane Austen.

Music, manners and wit: Aspects of Jane Austen's life and literature are recreated in an innovative programme, incorporating popular Regency elements and the "Austen Waltz." Artists include:
