Launch of Creative Art Central residency program

Join us in this FREE event as we celebrate the creative work developed under the previous Art Central funding program. This evening will showcase seven major projects completed between 2011 and 2017 on the Central Coast. All art projects explored themes regarding cultural identity, belonging and sense of place.

The evening will also feature a panel from The Art House, NAISDA, the Central Coast Conservatorium, Laycock St Community Theatre, Gosford Regional Art Galleryand the Central Coast Council's cultural program. These are the members of the selection panel that will drive a new residency program proposed across all art forms.

Central Coast Council is calling on professional artists to apply for a residency in any one of the following categories:

Creative Industries: for professional artists supported by producers, directors, curators of spaces/buildings dedicated to the showcasing professional works of art.

Creative Communities: for professional artists to engage, lead, create and produce works that are placemaking in intent supported by local communities.

Creative Wellbeing: for professional cultural practitioners who offer a service to individuals/small groups with an aim to address, promote and sustain health and  wellbeing.

Creative Art Central is an initiative of Central Coast Council launched in parterneship with the Art House, Wyong and supported by NAISDA and the Central Coast Conservatorium.
