People are hurting. A group comes together over tea and biscuits. A sick girl reaches out, she hesitates. A man digs a hole, inviting in the darkness. Triumph travels through time and place, zooming in to precise moments of suffering and our connections with strangers and loved ones.
In this darkly funny and troubling play, acclaimed Melbourne playwright Louris van de Geer makes us face uncomfortable characters inspired by real life events with unexpected repercussions.
In its Sydney premiere season, our cast brings to life this contemporary tour de force with the transformative design of Paul Matthews. Under Tessa Leong's careful eye, this collaboration will challenge certainties and make us question the reassuring thoughts that usually let us sleep at night.
