with Guest Speaker Jacob Boehme

Jacob Boehme is a Melbourne born and based artist of Aborignal heritage, from the Narangga (Yorke Peninsula) and Kaurna (Adelaide Plains) nations of South Australia.

Jacob is currently Creative Director of YIRRAMBOI International Gathering of First Peoples Arts and Culture, Melbourne 5-14 May.

With a 20 year history working in Cultural Maintenace, Research & Revival of traditional dance with Elders and youth from urban to remote Indigenous communities across Australia, Jacob combines dance, puppetry, and playwriting to create multi-disciplinary theatre, dance and ceremony for stage, screen, large-scale public events and festivals.

Jacob recently presented his physical monologue 'Blood on the Dance Floor' at Carriageworks as a part of the 2017 Sydney Festival.
