Big Dance - free dance workshops and a chance to perform with hundreds of people!

Ausdance Victoria invites all Victorians to celebrate dance with them on International Dance Day by joining the 2018 Big Dance!

Encouraging people to be active through dance, Big Dance is a free large-scale participatory celebration. Big Dance is open to everyone of all ages, all abilities and all experiences.

Participate in one of the many free Big Dance workshops to learn choreography by acclaimed Indigenous choreographer Frances Rings and New Zealand born Craig Bary. Then join the rest of Australia as we do the Big Dance together at events around Australia on International Dance Day.

In Victoria, Big Dance events are being held in Federation Square (Melbourne), Victory Park (Castlemaine) and Melba Park (Lilydale) on Sunday 29 April. Don't miss an opportunity to dance the Big Dance with hundreds of others people! And stay on at each event for performances and workshops from fantastic dance groups including Origins Dance Company - Transit Dance, Indigenous Hip Hop Project and Shiamak.

Watch the tutorial videos and register for a Big Dance workshop and the events on our website.
