Newport Folk Festival is back for its 11th year with a wonderful line-up of local and national performing artists. Discover and enjoy loads of music, workshops, kids’ activities, join-in sessions, spoken word, storytelling, street performers and much more. Newport will come alive with events happening at Newport Bowls Club, Newport Hub, The Substation, Newport RSL, Newport Scout Hall, and a range of free performances on Market Street.

Blackberry Jam Bush Band has been performing to the delight of Victorians of all ages for the past 25 years! Be ready for an abundance of energy, expertise and fun as they take the stage at this year's festival. The Concerteenies is the brain child of Katie Pryce, an experienced French horn player with the likes of London Sinfonietta, as well as a jazz and cabaret performer. All Together Tutti - A workshop for all ages. Bring your family and friends and raise your voice in a choral suite celebrating Hobsons Bays incredible environment. Written by award-winning westies, this uplifting workshop will have you laughing and marvelling at the humour, fragility and beauty of the world around you. Galata Express is a collection of musicians exploring Turkish gypsy sound with influence from Eastern European cultures.The Melbourne-based band members hail from places like Turkey, Macedonia, Australia and New Zealand. The band has played at big events such as Woodford Folk Festival and Brunswick Music Festival, be sure to wear your dancing shoes when you see them live.
