Dinosaur Festival 2020 (Expired)

The Australian Museum (AM) is seeking Expressions of Interest (EOI) for Dinosaur Festival programs and performances aimed at intergenerational audiences, specifically designed and curated for early childhood (2-5 years) and/or primary school-aged children (5-12 years). 

Dinosaur Festival is the AM's signature family event that takes place every year over two weeks during the NSW spring school holidays (26 Sept – 11 Oct 2020). Dinosaur Festival attracts more than 40,000 visitors to the AM with its world-class Dinosaurs exhibition and its delivery of a broad and engaging science, technology, engineering, arts and mathematical (STEAM) program of activities such as coding workshops, stop-motion animation and virtual reality experiences, as well as music, dance, artmaking, book readings, theatre workshops and performances.

KEY CRITERIA:

  • Creative STEAM concepts or topics
    The program must have relevance to dinosaurs, palaeontology or relevant scientific areas and may be predominantly arts-based. All scientific content within the program must have credible sources.

  • Interactive / immersive programming
    The program should be innovative, original and offer age appropriate and/or intergenerational experiences. Experience working with children is essential.

  • Feasibility
    Applicants must complete the EOI Response Form and include all requested information. Your application must demonstrate consideration of all aspects of pre-production and presentation of your program.

    Program should consider access requirements and sustainable practices or resources, in line with the AM's Accessibility and Inclusion Action Plan 2018 – 2021 and Sustainability Action Plan.

  • Working with Children Check (WWCC) for all on-site staff

  • ABN

  • Public Liability Certificate
