Less than 2 weeks after what would have been the start of this year’s Sydney Eisteddfod Performing Arts Festival, the not-for-profit organisation has launched its new project, Stage At Home.
Receiving much praise for and interest in the campaign, Sydney Eisteddfod has received over one hundred entries across dance, drama, poetry, classical & contemporary music, all which will be available to view on their website and YouTube channel from June 1.
Stage At Home has been endorsed by Sydney Eisteddfod Patron, Her Excellency, The Honorable Margaret Beazley AO QC, Governor of NSW, who asks all those who had or would have entered, the 2020 cancelled Festival, to submit new recordings of themselves at home, performing what would have been their competition piece. This has ensured that performers stay focused and keep practicing.
This free event will be a celebration of all the hard work that the eisteddfod entrants have put into their entries and a showcase of the immense talent that exists in the Sydney Eisteddfod community.
Entries can be received from now, up until July 27 and will be uploaded until July 31.
