Term 1 Starts February 7th

Have you ever had a wild idea for a performance? Do you want to be more spontaneous and creative in the rehearsal room? Do you enjoy collaborating with others to create something new? Then you will love collaborative theatre making!

Collaborative Performance Making is a fun and inspiring way, for both beginners and those more experienced, develop confidence in group performance making.

Actors and directors will engage with image work, activate their imagination and utilise the dynamics of physical theatre to explore the elements of performance. Drawing inspiration from a variety of themed source materials, such as visual art and newspaper articles, you will be guided through a devising process that uses physical theatre techniques and structured improvisations to generate performance material.

This course will help students to:-

- Unlock their innate creativity
- Build collaborative problem solving skills and harness lateral thinking
- Explore how to use physicality and imagery to create meaning and subtext
- Build physical confidence and develop your performance skills
- Learn new and exciting approaches to devising work and take them into your own projects

WHEN: 6:30pm – 9:00pm, Wednesdays , 7th February – 28th March 

please note class scheduled for 28th February will be on 1st March

COST: ADULT – $385 (Early Bird $340) CONCESSION/MEAA – $360 (Early Bird $315)

This course will be customised for each group. It is suitable for both beginners and recreational students as well as vocationally trained, working theatre makers who wish to develop their professional skills.

This course will continue for a second term 18th April 2018 and work towards a performance repeat enrolments at early bird prices.
