About the Course
If you're born to perform, then take to the stage with the Advanced Diploma of Performing Arts (Acting) 10560NAT. This rigorous actor-training program incorporates the core disciplines of acting, voice and movement. This course begins as a three-day commitment in the first year, then gradually increases in intensity, allowing for more flexibility in managing the commitments of study and work-life balance. You'll gain real-world experience working with Adelaide's best directors, theatre-makers and teachers of acting both stage and screen.
Each year is dedicated to specific skills and outcomes. The first year focuses on personal preparation and process and is a rigorous and enlightening process of discovery. The second year focuses on performance development and consolidation. With foundation skills in place, the second year is a chance to explore and experience the demands and the power of live performance. The final year focuses on industry alignment and refinement. The final six months is dedicated to knowledge of, and initiation into, the professional arena. To complete the qualification you are required to complete all 30 core units.
