Performance Space is on the hunt for volunteers to assist with our annual Liveworks Festival of Experimental Art.
This year we're taking over Carriageworks and delivering an online program from the 21st October to 25th October. Packed with performances, installations, workshops, conversations and lectures, Liveworks will dazzle, engage and inspire audiences with innovative new work by acclaimed artists.
As a volunteer you’ll get the chance to be part of Australia’s leading experimental arts festival and help create memorable experiences for our audiences.
We are looking for volunteers who are friendly, warm and welcoming. Our volunteers are the face of LIVEWORKS 2020 for all of our audiences, helping them in the venue, checking tickets, ushering and being friendly or assisting back stage.
We would love volunteers who are able to work at least 2 shifts over the festival and be available to attend a volunteer briefing night on the 7th October. Some volunteers may be assigned to a production and will volunteer only for that production.
VOLUNTEERING ROLES THIS YEAR WILL INCLUDE:
Invigilation of exhibitions, installations and performances. This can involve; greeting visitors, offering them information about the work and answering questions about the artist and their work. Being approachable and welcoming and make sure people have an information sheet/program.
Volunteers often assist the Front of House team with audiences. Experience working in customer service, front of house or in events is desirable but not essential.
COVID-19; KEEPING VOLUNTEERS SAFE
We are implementing comprehensive COVID-19 safety measures in line with current government directives, in order to create a safe and enjoyable festival experience for everyone.
