‘Who am I if not a dancer?’

Many dancers face the end of their stage careers by their mid-30s. What options do they have when they retire from performing?

This weekend, with very mixed feelings, dancer Charmene Yap will take her final bows as a dancer with the Sydney Dance Company (SDC). 

Yap has been an integral part of the Sydney Dance Company (SDC) since she joined in 2010. Her relationship with the company will continue into the future as she steps into the role of Rehearsal Associate, which was especially created for her by the SDC.
