Multiculturalism is not a feelgood word to all the culturally diverse artists meeting at Brisbane Multicultural Art Centre this week.

The Kultour Gathering 2013 entitled Right Here/Right Now provides artists and arts workers from across Australia with a unique opportunity to share their experiences – one of which is an apparent aversion to the term ‘multicultural’.

Richard Watts is ArtsHub's National Performing Arts Editor; he also presents the weekly program SmartArts on Three Triple R FM, and serves as the Chair of La Mama Theatre's volunteer Committee of Management. Richard is a life member of the Melbourne Queer Film Festival, and was awarded the status of Melbourne Fringe Living Legend in 2017.
