Harmonisation, complexity and change: exploring the National Performing Arts Touring Scan

Previous reports into the national touring ecology released in 2005 and 2011 effectively came to naught, so what makes the new Touring Scan any different?

Reshaping and rebuilding touring activity across Australia will be a critical component of repairing the damage to the sector inflicted by COVID-19.

In mid-March, the Australia Council published The National Performing Arts Touring Scan, a wide-ranging and detailed report on the touring arts ecology. It focuses attention on national and regional touring and the steps required to strengthen this critical part of the Australian arts sector.
