Love Bites: Queer storytelling in its rawest form

A series of personal and transformative documentaries told by LGBTIQ filmmakers will screen on ABC iview this Sunday to coincide with the 40th anniversary of the Sydney Gay and Lesbian Mardi Gras.

A powerful series of documentaries by LGBTIQ filmmakers, launched as part of ABC Arts and Screen Australia’s Love Bites initiative, explores gender nonconformity and tells deeply revealing narratives.

Coinciding with the 40th Sydney Gay and Lesbian Mardi Gras, Love Bites has seen 10 film-making teams across Australia given $10,000 to make a 5-minute documentary. Film Victoria contributed additional funding to four of the Victorian films; Dances from producer Stephanie Westwood and director Ramon Watkins; Dani Boi from producer Zena Bartlett and director Logan Mucha; Desperately Seeking Shavers from producer Christina Radburn and writer/director Emmett Aldred; and Wicked Women: There’s No Stopping Us Now from producer/director Anna Brownfield.
