The Tasmanian Government has announced additional funds in the 2020-21 State Budget to support the arts. With a total pool of $1 million, the Arts Recovery Support Initiative is designed to help people sustain their arts businesses and practices to ensure that Tasmania’s renowned creative industries continue to thrive and provide experiences for audiences.

Under the initiative, artists, arts organisations and arts businesses may apply for up to $10,000 to cover earnings lost as a result of cancellations due to COVID-19. Applicants may only submit one application. Applications close 15 February 2021.
