Critics savage King Kong on Broadway

The massive star of the show, a 2000 pound and 20 foot high puppet, gets rave reviews, the songs and story less so.

Described as ‘a wretched mess’ by The Hollywood Reporter and ‘monstrously bad‘ by The Guardian, Australian company Global Creatures’ new musical, King Kong (heavily reworked since its underwhelming Australian premiere in 2013) has opened in New York City to poor reviews.
