Patrick White Playwrights’ Award shortlist announced

Six plays are in the running for the award, to be announced at The Wharf on Friday 24 May alongside the Patrick White Playwrights’ Fellowship.

The Sydney Theatre Company has just released the shortlist of six plays in the running for the Patrick White Playwrights’ Award, in which the winner, and the winner of the Patrick White Playwrights’ Fellowship, will be announced at STC’s home base, The Wharf, on Friday 24th May 2013.

The six original and unproduced plays shortlisted for the Patrick White Playwrights’ Award were chosen out of the 158 entries received for this year. The works in the running include Dream Home by Emilie Collyer, Love Boy by Casey Nicholls, Minusonesister by Anna Barnes, Motherland by Katherine Lyall-Watson, Oranges and Lemons by Rick Viede and The Rasputin Affair by Kate Mulvany.
