Melbourne Festival CEO, Katie McLeish will step down from the role at the end of this year.

Melbourne Festival Acting President, Neil Waters said: “The Board would like to thank Katie for her dedication, expertise and enthusiasm over the past four years. Katie has played a fundamental role in leading the team that continues to ensure Melbourne Festival is one of the world’s great international arts festivals.  Katie is a talent to watch and we wish her all the very best for her future endeavours.”

Katie says: “It has been an absolute privilege leading one of Australia’s premier international arts events and an incredible learning opportunity for me.  After being involved in so many festivals for such an extended period, it is time for me to explore new horizons. It feels the perfect time to hand over the reins to a new CEO who will work with the excellent team of incoming President Maureen Wheeler AO and the next Artistic Director Jonathan Holloway.”

The Board of the Melbourne Festival will begin the search for a new CEO immediately.
