Ballet has ‘transformational’ benefits for older participants, new study finds

The health benefits of ballet for older Australians have been demonstrated in a new study conducted by Queensland Ballet and QUT.

A three-month project initiated in 2017 by Queensland Ballet, Ballet Moves for Adult Creative Health, found that participants experienced higher energy levels, greater flexibility, improved posture, and an enhanced sense of achievement.

They also reported feeling happier, and enjoyed an enhanced sense of community and friendship.
