Kate Cherry’s sudden NIDA departure, LPA President to step down, and a new Director of Artistic Planning at the MSO.

Kate Cherry, Director and Chief Executive Officer of the National Institute of Dramatic Art (NIDA) will step down this week, having started in the role in November 2016.

The Chair of NIDA’s Board, Jennifer Bott AO, confirmed the move today, saying ‘Kate has an illustrious record as a theatre director and we appreciate the impact she has delivered at NIDA in key areas, including artistic leadership and engagement with alumni.
