Back from the brink: Ausdance National saved from closure

Despite heralding its own demise in August, advocacy body Ausdance National has been saved by its own members.

The members of Ausdance National – a peak body for the dance sector and a leader in arts advocacy – have fought back against plans to wind up the organisation.

A Special General Meeting held on 4 December saw members of the association reject plans for Ausdance National’s closure established by the previous board and the determination of a new direction for the association.
