Challenging year marked by expansion of Sidney Myer Performing Arts Awards

Expanded from three awards to eight, the 2020 Sidney Myer Performing Arts Awards recognise arts champions across the nation.

In recognition of the challenges the arts sector faced last year, the 2020 Sidney Myer Performing Arts Awards have been expanded from three awards to eight.

Established in 1984 to commemorate the 50th anniversary of the death of philanthropist and arts lover Sidney Myer, the Sidney Myer Performing Arts Awards traditionally recognise three recipients: an individual, a facilitator and a group or organisation.
