Clare Watson’s contract extended at Black Swan

The Board of WA’s State Theatre Company has renewed the Artistic Director’s contract for another three years and publicly committed to supporting a bold artistic vision.

Clare Watson, the Perth-based Artistic Director of Black Swan State Theatre Company, has had her contract renewed for a further three years.

In May, Black Swan’s Board issued a media statement referring to ‘further appointments to key leadership roles’ following the abrupt departure of Executive Director Natalie Jenkins, leading many in the sector to suspect that Watson’s position was also under threat.
