Final curtain falls on Perth Theatre Company

A 33 year history draws to a close with news that the company will be voluntarily wound up and deregistered.

The Board of the troubled Perth Theatre Company (PTC) has resolved to wind up the company. Chairman Dr Saliba Sassine said that the company’s business and financial model was unsustainable in the current economic environment.

PTC – established in 1983 and originally known as SWY Theatre Company – would be voluntarily wound up and de-registered, Sassine said on Friday.
