Mitchell Butel appointed as State Theatre Company SA’s new AD

Butel will commence in the role in March, receiving a one-month handover with outgoing Artistic Director Geordie Brookman.

Recipient of four Helpmann Awards (most recently for the State Theatre Company/Belvoir production of Mr Burns – A Post Electric Play) , as well as several Green Room and Sydney Theatre Awards for his work as an actor and director, Mitchell Butel was today (18 December) announced as the new Artistic Director of State Theatre Company South Australia (STCSA).
