After 26 years with the organisation, long-standing Country Arts SA (CASA) CEO Steve Saffell has announced he will retire in December. A key member of Country Arts SA from its beginning, Saffell joined the brand-new organisation in 1993 as Manager, Programs and Resources. He has spent the last nine years as CEO.

His announcement follows a recent CASA restructure that saw six full-time (FTE) staff cut from the organisation’s Port Adelaide office, while creating new roles in regional areas equal to four full-time staff.
