Arts Minister criticised over funding speech citing arts as 'clubbish'

Addressing the Sydney Institute this week, Arts Minister Paul Fletcher outlined key reasons the government funds the arts, but stepped on toes with 'clubbish' description of the arts.

Yesterday (Thursday 8 April), Federal Minister for the Arts the Hon. Paul Fletcher MP gave an address to The Sydney Institute entitled, ‘Why do we fund the arts?’.
