One Night at Warangesda – Music Theatre and Site Tour

This event is part of the Yarruwala Wiradjuri Cultural Festival. For the full program visit www.yarruwalafestival.com

A music theatre performance held at the old mission site of Warangesda, situated on the banks of the great Murrumbidgee River at Darlington Point. Created and directed by Artistic Director Kerry Johnson, produced by Burrundi Theatre for Performing Arts. This special music theatre performance takes the audience back in time tracing the story of Warangesda from 1880 and bringing it forward into living history where it remains significant to the many families throughout the Riverina who descend from this important place.

An Elders' seating area, an evening BBQ prepared with traditional ingredients and an on-site historical exhibition accompanies the performance.
