RUNDLE MALL PLAZA DROPS NEW LOCAL MUSIC SERIES
Rundle Mall Plaza is proud to present its inaugural Terrace Sessions, a new free pop-up music series featuring some of South Australia’s most talented singer-songwriters, launching on Friday, November 22.
Held over four Friday nights across November and December, The Terrace Sessions will showcase talent from the likes of Mason Lloyde, rising star Ollie English, Tara Carragher and Kelly Menhennett.
The event will offer shoppers the chance to unwind whilst overlooking Rundle Mall during the busiest retail period of the year.
Evan Brumby, Centre Manager of Rundle Mall Plaza said the organisation is proud to support local talent as part of an ongoing investment in the South Australian arts community.
“We are proud to give a platform for local musicians that will compliment patrons who visit the Terrace precinct,” Mr Brumby said.
“As an organisation, we want to offer something unique to our customers to give them an improved shopping experience. We wanted to add value to traditional festive activations as we welcome the summer months.”
In conjunction with Music SA, Plaza Management have curated a program of artists to compliment Friday night shopping.
The partnership illustrates the importance of ongoing local support to musicians and artists alike.
Rising star and performer at the newfound music series Ollie English says he is keen to see what this new opportunity will bring to the people of Adelaide.
“I am stoked to see so many new music events like this popping up around Adelaide and bringing new breaks to artists,” English said.
“The line-up is looking really great for the Terrace Sessions and I look forward to helping people unwind during such a busy time of year.”
The Terrace Sessions will be held on Friday’s at Rundle Mall Plaza’s level 1 dining space ‘The Terrace’ from 5pm until 7pm from 22 November until 13 December.
